Time to Get Moving!!

Boy, time flies! Sunday morning’s weigh in revealed my full first month’s results on Weight Watchers. Sometimes it feels like it will be forever before I’m back at my goal weight again; watching the pounds tick off only 1 or 2 at a time. But, time does indeed fly and I remember feeling the same way when I first started SlimGenics (and that was even worse because I had 100 lbs to lose, not 30!), but the 9 1/2 months actually went by really fast and it was over and in my rear-view mirror before I knew it. 🙂

So, week 4 showed a loss of 2.2 lbs, for a total of 11.6 lbs in the first month. 😀

Of course, I have yet to start exercising. I really need to do it – the Y is not cheap and they have so much to offer; but not if I never go. I actually created a “YMCA” calendar in my Google calendar and put the Zumba schedule on it, just so I would see it every day and remind me that I need to get off my butt and get moving! I have yet to do it…

My new addiction is Pinterest, which of course, keeps me on my butt in front of my computer and NOT exercising. Oh, the irony of pinning things like this:

So, despite trying to convince myself of otherwise (by pinning things such as this to my Dieting & Weight Loss board), all evidence shows the hard truth: exercise isn’t that important to me. 😦

But, the 6 weeks that I actually went to Zumba classes were awesome! I loved it; looked forward to it! But, those classes were also in the evening and the Y has them at 8:30 am. “If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.” 😉

So, how many more posts do I have to post about exercise and why I hate it before I actually start doing it? 😛

  1. You’re doing great, take baby steps in changing your lifestyle.
The hardest part when it comes to exercise is getting started. If you can’t make it to the gym, try doing jumping jacks or jump rope during the commercials when you’re watching tv, take the stairs at work, park in the farthest parking spot at work or at the store – it’ll add up.
Once you can make it to a class, or a brisk walk around the block and feel those endorphins – you’ll be excited for the next time and it’ll snow ball.
Keep up the great work and don’t be too hard on yourself!
